Project type:
Full-house renovation
Location:
Narragansett, RI
Setting:
Coastal Home

About 144 Saltaire Ave.
144 Saltaire Ave. is a full-house renovation by Fontaine Brothers in coastal Narragansett Rhode Island. Instead of tearing the home down, we worked with what was already there, rebuilding it from the inside out so it fits the way the owners live today.
A project like this starts before any demolition. We assessed the home’s existing conditions, settled the scope and a fixed contract price, and pulled the permits. Then we protected the areas we weren’t touching and opened up the rest. Chris Fontaine, a licensed Rhode Island builder (CRLB #19127), stayed involved from the first walkthrough to the last.

Renovation Highlights
A full-house renovation moves through 3 key stages.

1. Protection & Demolition
We protected what was staying. Then we opened walls, ceilings, and floors carefully, so we could see what we were really working with.

2. Structure & Systems
Framing repairs and updates came first, followed by new electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. Everything was inspected before the walls were closed.

3. Interior Finishes
Cabinetry, trim, flooring, and paint finished the inside. Then we did a final walkthrough with the owners and handed over the keys.
